Language classes

Part of understanding another culture is understanding the language spoken in that country or region. The teens will learn that some things cannot be directly translated, and that local expressions are not just words but are an extension of the culture.

Life skills

In addition to helping with construction and learning a language the teens will also learn to be self-sufficient. They will help prepare meals as well as aid in general camp maintenance.

Activities

Of course, all work and no play is, no fun; and play is an important part of every cultural experience. The teens will have the opportunity to explore the local environment as well as participate in local festivals and sports.

Through a balance of individual and team activities and responsibilities the teens will discover their own strengths as well as learn to value the strengths and skills of others.
