| |  CPA treasurer / secretary | | Barry A. Sullivan is currently Chief Financial Officer of a privately held, private equity backed company in Phoenix, AZ. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Massachusetts. His professional background includes serving as CFO of private and public companies in various industries, founder and owner of an accounting firm in the Boston area specializing in privately held and closely and family held businesses and as a member of the Board of Directors of a public financial institution. Mr. Sullivan has taught at the graduate school level and been an instructor and speaker at professional education events. Mr. Sullivan writes occasionally for local newspapers and publications. He has served his communities as Past President of his local Rotary Club, member of a City Planning Board, member of Board of Directors and Officer of local chambers of commerce and a Main Street Program, director and officer of a local non-profit organization in Phoenix, member of Audit Committee and Investment Committee for a local hospital and healthcare organization. Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. Sullivan earned his MBA at Endicott College and his BS at Merrimack College, both in Massachusetts. He is the proud father of three daughters who graduated James Madison University in Virginia and the University of New Hampshire. His oldest daughter plans to graduate medical school in June 2010. He and his wife Toshiko reside happily in Phoenix, AZ. | | |  Board Member |  | | (Maria) Milagros Zingoni has been teaching undergraduate and graduate design studios in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture since 2005. She is originally from Argentina, where she received her architecture degree and License and her degree in Habitat Design, and studied law as an extramural student. She also holds a Master degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University. Milagros practiced architecture before moving to the US and she continues to work in her private practice remotely from the US. Her research work has been presented in England, Canada, India, and South Africa. Milagros is a strong advocate for giving back to the community. She is passionate about the role of design professionals in family infrastructure, she would say “if my design formation in Architecture and Planning made me have a different perception about the world, then motherhood changed my perception about the role of design”. She has volunteered in many public projects and is currently serving as a Board of Directors for two non for profit organizations: Everlasting Marks and Mesa Montessori, she is also volunteering her time and knowledge being part of the Urban Design Collision for Pinal County. | | | LEED-AP board member |  | | Janet was born in Chicago, IL and transferred from the University of Illinois at Chicago to Arizona State University (ASU) to pursue her interests in design and urban planning. While in school, Janet was the Vice President of the ASU Planning Organization. In 2007, she graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and Design, and received an Outstanding Student Award from nominating faculty. From a very young age, Janet has traveled frequently to Mexico and volunteered her time in underdeveloped areas and communities throughout the central region of the country. Recently, Janet traveled to Mexico City to work with students at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México to develop an analysis of Mexico City’s existing water infrastructure and propose strategies to plan for future increases in water consumption, infrastructure improvements, and drinking water quality improvements. Currently, Janet is working as a Planner and Urban Designer for a national architectural, engineering, consulting firm in Phoenix, AZ. Her work in community planning, urban design and transportation recognizes the environmental, social and economic conditions that impact each region while addressing the future needs of development. Her significant Spanish skills provides non-English speaking citizens the opportunity to be a part of the decision-making process. Janet is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and Arizona Chapter of the APA. | |
