 Trail Head Sponsor La Grande Orange Grocery Fresh & Easy Market | | Scheduled hikes will take place once per week in the greater Phoenix metro area, such as Camelback, Piestewa, North and South Mountains. Each hike will be a new trail and intensity ranges from easy to difficult. Hikers are welcome to invite other hikers to join them on hikes anywhere at anytime and can do so through sharing a scheduled hike on our website. Each hiker is asked to hike at their own pace, it is not a race...or it can be...all depending on your preference. The goal is to meet new people, discover new trails and enjoy your environment all while supporting a cause. | |
Since most sponsorships will be based on miles pledged this number cannot be changed once the first "variable" sponsorship has been obtained. Please be realistic when pledging your miles - your sponsors are counting on you to meet your pledge! | | Most Miles Hiked* One hiker from each age group (including individual participating as couples, families or groups) will receive an award for most miles hiked. Family and group members will need to track their miles individually and will be competing as individuals for this award. *All hikers must track their miles individually. Most Money Raised* Individuals: A prize will be given per age group. Couples/Groups/Families: A prize will be given per category and the winner will be based on average dollars raised per person. *Money raised will be based on sponsorship money actually received by the time of the awards ceremony. At least two weeks will be given to collect and submit sponsor money. | | Sponsors can support individual hikers and/or couples, families or groups. "Fixed" sponsorships can be entered under any hiker as prizes are based on the average money raised per hiker. Please contact EM if a sponsor wishes to support a couple/family/group based on a "variable" sponsorship as our system is not set up to simultaneously track both individual and group miles. In the event of a "variable" sponsorship for a couple/family/group a separate account will be made for the group and all group hikers will need to log miles both individually and on the group account. | |
