Sustainable Education Center / Training Build

An important aspect of the camps is the construction of a sustainable building that will be donated to the community.  For this reason it is important that all camp staff know and understand the building process.  And how better to learn this proven construction model than from the creators themselves!!  We have contracted Earthship Biotecture’s training crew to come train our future camp staff the building process so that we in turn can teach future campers.

PARTNERS

EARTHSHIP BIOTECTURE

We have chosen the Earthship style of construction for its sustainability, use of recycled materials available worldwide and proven history as a dependable means of construction.  In addition Earthship conducts an unprecedented international training program.  How better to guarantee success than to learn from the best!! www.earthship.net

SUPERSTITION FARM

Superstition Farm is not only a fully functioning dairy farm, but conducts educational tours for children that teach about sustainable farming practices.  The completed building will be incorporated into these tours, increasing the knowledge the children gain while visiting the farm. www.superstitionfarm.com

EAST MARICOPA NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERSVATION DISTRICT

The mission and goals of the EMNRCD are far reaching and include work to educate and support local school children about how to care for our limited natural resources.  The completed building will be their Educational Facility, allowing them to better serve local schools and communities.  www.emnrcd.org

We are excited to be working with organizations so dedicated to, not only making a positive impact in our environment, but also educating the local community on how they can better care for the planet we all share.
